I've started to make necklaces lately and I wanted a display that was different and not cheap looking and that could last a few clunks and drops if neccessary (my husband is such a clutz) A lot of necklace displays are that black velvet, or white, or gray, over and over and over, I was looking for something different to add subtle "pop" to my designs. To show my personality but not to take away from the piece. I was pleasantly surprised to find a wooden hand carved necklace display. And when I recieved it it was just beautiful.
A good point:
When I got this, I read the part about there being nicks or things like that because they're hand carved, no such thing on mine. It even has little velvet feet to protect your surfaces. Its also extremely light, I was half expecting a cumbersome heavy wooden piece I'd have to lug around the house, but when I got the box in the mail at first I thought it was empty it was so light. (and I'm one of those weaklings who things 4-5 pounds is pretty substantial. what am I going to do when I have kids?)The wood is beautiful I have that wonderful flowing grain shown in the picture (which I was surprised to get, since all wood is different) I will definatley buy this item again and again and again when I open my store. :)
