This desk is a nightmare ,you put it together with glue!!!,which they do not send you enough of.I bought this desk for my daughters dorm room,if it lasts a month it will be a miracle.Do yorself a favor and pass on this product,it also takes a very long time to put together.

Helpful Hints -
I read all these review AFTER I made my purchase, which has not yet arrived. I don't normally do it that way. I must say I am a bit intimidated. But those of you who have a difficult time with wooden pegs or the holes for screws: my experience with "put together yourself" is: use WD-40 on pegs or soap makes it go in easier. Screw holes: twist the screw into the holes PRIOR to assembly to help open it up so that it will be easier when you are actually putting it together. Also, those of you who have problem with the paint - throw on a coat of primer, then paint, then gloss! It sounds like it would look the way it was supposed to look! This will be for my four yr old I was hoping that it would last as my childhood desk did. Well, I see it may not from these reviews. It was the lease expensive desk I could find so I am praying for the best. Unless you buy furniture pre-assembled everything else is a toss up. Some put together yourselves are great others are a nightmare beginning to end. Thank you all for your input, your reviews were very helpful. I will give my review of the desk once I have it and assemble it.
for now, it's perfect -
I purchased this desk for my daughter's birthday (she turned 7). I am very happy with it. It is perfect for her. It was a little hard to finish the assembly of the drawers because you had to really push the dowels into the holes, even my husband had a hard time with them. I believe the rest went fine because he had our boys helping him. I'm not sure if I would call the color pearl white though. You can see the "grain" of the wood beneath the white color and it is not a glossy white (at least not to me). She is happy with it and that is all that matters!
a bit disappointed -
i really thought it would be bigger and better made. its not white paint but did match coloring in room fair enough. wood was chipped in two spots. chair hard to find for fit. i gave it a three. i should have reviewed before buying.

You get what you pay for -
We have the headboard, nightstand and dresser the veneer finish is peeling of at the edges. But for the price this is what you get. I did not expect to see the (fake) wood grain, this is like a whitewashed finish. The nighstand is smaller than I expected, it's shorter than an average nighstand. If I could go back I would of spent a little more money for better quality pieces.
